United Phosphorus (Mumbai) says it has acquired Agrichem (Oosterhault, the Netherlands) from SD Agchem Europe, a unit of Punjab Chemicals & Crop Protection (Mumbai), for an undisclosed sum. United Phosphorus notifed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has acquired 100% of Agrichem along with all tangible and intangible assets, IPR, product registrations, brands, distribution network and manufacturing facilities. "Agrichem will give us new and enhanced market access in European countries," says Jail Shrof, CEO of United Phosphorus.
