Gas pipeline sector to grow faster than GDP: Infrastructure Australia report

A new report from Infrastructure Australia has projected that the gas pipeline sector will grow faster than the nation's GDP through to 2031. Our Infrastructure Challenges lists gas pipelines as being vital in ensuring that economic hot spots such as the Pilbara and Gladstone continue to grow. Today these regions contribute $A44 billion to the economy, largely through resources and agricultural activities, with the figure projected to more than double by 2031 to $A110 billion.
