Uganda, Kenya to decide on export pipeline route

Uganda and Kenya will meet in April to further discuss the feasibility of a new export pipeline between the two countries. Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta and Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni recently met to discuss route options for construction the pipeline from Hoima on Lake Albert via a Kenyan northern route through the oil fields of Lokichar, and a Kenyan southern route through the town of Nakuru, with a loop to Lokichar were discussed, as well as a route from Hoima to Tanga in Tanzania.
