Double Spiral Chinese Lamp

Of the numerous ornamental Chinese lanterns I have produced in wood, the ones that create the most interest are those of open twisted pine construction with a reverse twisted centre (Photo.1). The favourable comments these have received have certainlymade the effort of completing them well worthwhile. Most intricate projects, irrespective of their merits or nature, require a plan. The half elevation shown in Fig.1 provides the various radii and heights, although the dimensions are flexible and may be altered if you choose.
