In the past few years, home telephones have decreased in size while at the same time becoming far more complex. They now have features that were hardly dreamed of only a decade ago. Base station phones with one or more satellite handsets are common. While these handsets and their charging cradles may be located on a desk, a bedside table or a kitchen bench, the base station deserves its own abode.
