Chemtura Plans MultiPurpose Plant in China

Chemtura says it will build a multi-purpose manufacturing plant at Nantong, China as part of a larger strategy to support demand growth in "the world's most rapidly expanding market."Other planned investments in the region include technical development centers, joint ventures, and bolt-on acquisitions. The plant will initially focus on the production of urethanes and petroleum additives, but will also make other products in Chemtura's portfolio. Within urethanes, growth is driven by the commercialization of Chemtura's Adiprene product line, as well as its low-free prepolymer urethanes.
