摘要

Canadian officials have issued their most recent draft risk assessments for 17 chemicals under its chemicals management program, which is assessing more than 200 substances for potential adverse effects on human health or the environment. The most recent group of substances is the ninth batch of 12 groups the government plans to assess under its chemical management program. Canada has proposed five of the 17 substances be classified as potentially harmful to human health or the environment: methyl eugenol, vanadium oxide, potassium bromate, NDTHPM, a synthetic azo-based dye that is primarily used as a colorant in non-food based paper and TGOPE, used in some epoxy resins and adhesives.
