Air Liquide Buys U.S. Utility Firm

Air Liquide says it has acquired utilities provider Lion Copolymer Geismer Services (LCGS; Geismar, LA). Terms were not disclosed. LCGS is a major provider of steam, treated and demineralized water, and other products to nearby industrial customers, including Air Liquide. "The purchase of LCGS' business activities further demonstrates Air Liquide's growth strategy in existing and essential marketplaces," says Michael Graff, president and CEO of American Air Liquide Holdings, as well as v.p./Americas at Air Liquide and member of the executive board.
