摘要

THE Australian Government has taken steps to amend the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code (TGAC) to stop health professionals endorsing therapeutic products in advertisements direct to consumers, said Christopher Pyne, Assistant Minister for Health and Ageing. 'I along with many health and consumer organisations, including the AMA, believe that it is entirely inappropriate for healthcare professionals to be lending their support to health products. This could lead to consumer thinking these products are superior to similar medicines on the market,' he said.
