Solvay says its Solvay Solexis unit will invest ?10 million ($12.8 million) to expand capacity for peroxide curable (PC) fluoroelastomers at Spinetta Marengo, Italy by the first half of 2012. The company declined to reveal capacity figures. Demand for PC fluoroelastomers, sold under the Tecnoflon trademark, is growing rapidly, particularly in the automotive industry, the company says.
