Kuwait’s Petrochemical Industries Co. (PIC; Safat) has agreed to acquire a 25% stake in SK Gas (Seoul). SK Gas operates a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant at Ulsan, South Korea, designed to produce 600,000 m.t./year of propylene. Advanced Petrochemical Co., a Saudi producer of propylene and polypropylene, owns 35% in the PDH plant, which started production last October.
