SI Group to buy TPC's Baytown manufacturing facility

SI Group (Schenectady, New York) has agreed to buy TPC Group’s (Houston) Baytown, Texas, manufacturing facility, including an on-site terminal and manufacturing assets for nonene, tetramer, and other propylene derivatives. Financial terms were not disclosed. Frank Bozich, SI Group president & CEO, says the acquisition will strengthen the company’s security of supply and allow the company to better serve downstream markets such as fuel, lubricant, and oilfield additives.
