Covestro reports net loss

Covestro (Leverkusen), formerly Bayer Material Science, reports its first annual results since gaining independence, with adjusted Ebitda rising 41%, to ?1.64 billion ($1.81 billion), in 2015. Sales were up 2.7%, to ?12.1 billion, and net income rose 26%, to ?343 million. Volumes were 2.6% higher, but price movements had a negative effect to the tune of 7.7%. Covestro is proposing its first dividend of ?0.70/share.
