MINNESOTA 4-H'ER LAUREN OLSON, 14, EXPERIENCED AN "AH-HA"moment.So did American Quarter Horse trainer Jay Barnett.They were both attending the 2014 Minnesota Quarter Horse Association 4-H Boot Camp.Lauren's ah-ha moment came when she learned to teach her mare, Misters Classy Gal, how to set up and pivot for showmanship. Jay's moment came from watching the youth actually "get" what he and the other trainers were teaching them.For Lauren, the camp is a must-do summer event, and it's penciled in on Jay's calendar every year.Lauren, who is from Chisago City, Minnesota, was at Boot Camp for the fourth time; Jay was back for his third year as a clinician.
