摘要

Editor's note: California horseman Charley Araujo is noted not only for his contributions to the industry as a showman and breeder - Charley was at the shank of Doc Bar and stood Poco Tivio - but he is largely remembered as a renowned AQHA judge. Inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 2008, Charley died in December 1972.This interview with Charley (as told to Jane Pattie) originally appeared in the June 1970 issue o/Horseman magazine. While decades and horse-breeding trends have come and gone, Charley 's take on form to function in the American Quarter Horse holds trueto this day. In Part 1 of this series, Charley looked at the front limb, chest and head. This month, we focus on what he lookedfor in the middle section of a horse. Here are Charley's old-time words of wisdom.
