Greg Clark was appointed minister for universities, science and cities in July last year. The Conservative MP for Royal Tunbridge Wells was born in Middlesbrough, studied economics at Cambridge and got his PhD from the London School of Economics.Strategy, which was something I took very seriously. It looks 10 years ahead and is going to lay out the themes that, if we can get them right, are going to further power the success -of UK science. It's an enormous privilege and responsibility, and is designed not to be party political -10 years is beyond the scope of any Parliament.
