Gazprom and Japanese Partners Collaborate on Projects in Russia

Gazprom (Moscow) and the Japanese Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, which forms part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (Meti; Tokyo) have signed an agreement to carry out feasibility studies for gas-based proj- ects around the Vladivostock region of Russia's Far East. A joint front-end engineering design for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant near Vladivostock is expected to be completed this year, under the terms of the agreement.
