Nobel Prize winners slam Greenpeace for GMO opposition

Over 100 Nobel laureates have slammed Greenpeace for opposing geneti- cally modifed organisms (GMO), accusing the group of misrepresenting the risks, benefts, and impacts of crops improved through biotechnol- ogy. “Scientifc and regulatory agencies around the world have repeatedly and consistently found crops and foods improved through biotechnology to be as safe as if not safer than those derived from any other method of production,” according to a letter signed by 107 Nobel Prize winners in categories ranging from chemistry, physics, medicine, and economics.
