Royal Adhesives acquires engineered adhesives firm

Private equity firm American Securities’ (New York) Royal Adhesives & Sealants has acquired Adhesive Systems (Frankfort, IL), an engineered adhesives maker, for an undisclosed sum. Adhesive Systems makes cyanoacrylate, methyl methacrylate, epoxy and anaerobic adhesives for the transportation, medical, military, electronics, and general industrial markets, among others. Founders Ed Koziol and Gary Johnson will continue to manage the firm under Royal.
