The long lineage of the Carol cow family produces top ABV sire, CANBEE

CANBEE - AUSTRALIAN SON OF FRENCH bull Roumare - has pipped his international sire by a good margin to top the August 2013 Australian Breeding Values. At the same time, progeny of Canbee's Australian cow family - the Carols - are about to be producedfrom embryos imported into Holland by Knoef-Hendriksen's Big Holsteins, whose proven bulls include Winner and Montana. Dutch-born calves from the Carol cow family will mean Holstein genetics have travelled full circle in 105 years, with a cow imported from Holland to Australia in 1898 forming the Carol family's foundations.
