U.S. Senator Advances Bid to Halt EPA Climate Regs

U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R., AK) has formally introduced a resolution to reverse EPA’s recent decision which determined greenhouse gas (GHGs) emis- sions endanger public health. The Murkowski resolution challenges EPA’s so- called “endangerment finding” which is the first step toward regulating GHGs under the agency’s existing Clean Air Act authority. The endangerment finding would eventually lead to GHG permit requirements for stationary sources, industry executives say.
