Air Liquide to Build Two Hydrogen Units for Aramco's Red Sea Refinery Complex

Air Liquide says it will invest about $450 million (?350 million) in two global-scale hydrogen production units for Saudi Aramco's newly announced 400,000-bpd refinery at Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The complex will be designed and built by Lurgi, a division of Air Liquide Engineering, and is part of Aramco's Red Sea Refining Company. Start-up is expected in 2014, the company says. Total production capacity of the two hydrogen units will be about 262 million standard cubic feet per day.
