Bock to be next VCI president

Kurt Bock, chairman of BASF, has been elected as the next president of Germany’s chemical industry association VCI (Frankfurt). Bock has been a member of the VCI executive council and board since fall 2011. The election took place today at VCI’s annual general meeting (AGM) in Düsseldorf, Germany. Bock’s two-year term starts 24 September 2016 and runs until the 2018 AGM. Bock replaces Marijn Dekkers, chairman of Unilever. "The chemical and pharmaceutical industry is in the midst of radical change,” said Bock following his election.
