N. America chemical rail up 0.5% yOy

During the week ended 17 September, chemical railcar trafc in North America increased 0.5% year over year (YOY) as gains in the United States ofset declines in Canada and Mexico. The total, 42,645 carloads, increased 8.1% from the previous week, accord- ing to data released on 21 September by the Association of American Railroads (AAR). For the year to date, chemical railcar trafc in North America is down 0.1% versus the 10.1% decrease in all railcar trafc, according to AAR.
