Saudi aramco acquires Novomer's polyols business

Saudi Aramco has acquired the Converge polyols business from Novomer (Waltham, Massachusetts), a developer of chemicals derived from carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, for $100 million. Aramco will manufacture and market Converge and associated products through its subsidiary, Aramco Performance Materials. The company plans full- scale production facilities in Saudi Arabia to support the manufacture of specialty and intermediate chemicals.
