Indian firms form joint venture to build fertilizer complex

National Fertilizers Ltd. (NFL), Engineers India, and Fertilizer Corporation of India earlier this week signed an agreement to form a joint venture to construct a fertilizer complex. The jv, Ramangundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd., will build a complex designed to produce 2,200 m.t./day of ammonia and 3,850 m.t./day of urea, at the existing Ramagundam fertilizer production site belonging to Fertilizer Corporation of India. The project is a revival of earlier plans.
