Potash producer K+S's (Kassel, Germany) operating earnings (Ebit) during the last quarter of 2014 were ?130.4 million ($138.6 million), up 30% year-on-year (YOY), despite higher provisions for mining obli- gations, increased depreciation and amortisation in the potash and magnesium products business unit, and start-up costs for the com- pany's Legacy project in Canada.
