Uralchem to expand urea capacity using Stamicarbon process

Uralchem (Moscow) and Stamicarbon (Sittard, Netherlands) have announced that they have agreed to proceed with a project to mod- ernize Uralchem’s urea production plant at Perm, Russia. The required investment is esti- mated at 4.20 billion Russian rubles ($63.6 million). The project, expected to be com- pleted by 2019, will increase the Perm plant’s urea capacity from 1,930 m.t./day, to 2,700 m.t./day.
