Yara International (Oslo) reports a large increase in third-quarter profits and revenue, mainly driven by the stronger US dollar and higher sales volumes as a result of the OFD and Galvani acquisitions. Revenue and other income was 26% higher, at 30.5 billion Norwegian kroner ($3.47 billion), while Ebitda, excluding special items, was up 15%, at NK4.6 billion. Net income after noncontrolling interests reached NK4.0 billion compared with NK1.7 billion in the year-earlier quarter. Svein Tore Holsether, president and CEO, says overseas markets grew the most strongly.
