NACD 2015: Regulatory, talent issues top agenda

Regulatory issues were top of mind for attendees at this year’s National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD; Washington) meeting in Bonita Spring, FL. While the deadline for positive train control (PTC) implementation has been extended—a key priority for both NACD and ACC—other issues, including TSCA reform and the regulatory process, remain on the table. Meanwhile, companies are concerned about cultivating the next generation of leaders, and say that the business outlook is mostly positive despite some macroeconomic issues, and the downturn in oil and gas.
