EuroChem signs ammonia plant contract with Maire Tecnimont

EuroChem (Zug, Switzerland) has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) plant contract for a 2,700-m.t./day ammonia plant to be built at Kingisepp, Russia. The contract value is approximately ?660 million ($745 million). The Italian export credit guarantee agency SACE (Rome) will provide ?575 million loan guarantee to EuroChem while the remaining portion of the finance will come from EuroChem. The Kingisepp ammonia plant is the first of five ammonia-urea complexes to be constructed under a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between EuroChem, Maire Tecnimont and SACE in April.
