BP declares force majeure on acetic anhydride from UK plant

BP Chemicals Ltd. (BPCL), a BP subsidiary, confrms that it declared force majeure yesterday to customers of the company’s acetic anhydride plant at Saltend, near Hull, UK. “This was the result of an unforeseeable delay during the start-up procedures of the plant at Saltend following a planned turnaround,” BPCL says. “BPCL is reviewing its stock levels and revised manufacturing schedule and has contacted customers regarding its ability to supply acetic anhydride.”
