Praxair Announces 10% Price Hike

Praxair says it will increase prices for argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen by 10%, effective September 1, or as contracts allow. The company will also raise helium prices by 5%, and facility fees or monthly basic charges and cylinder rental rates by 10%. Praxair says the price hikes are necessary "to support continued reinvestment in equipment, facilities, and sources to maintain reliable supply, as well as to offset its own rising costs."
