摘要

The development of selective aryl cross-coupling methods has been hampered by the problem of suppressing the formation of undesired homodimers. In addition, the successful methods reported to date involve prefunctionalized arenes and transition metal catalysts. In contrast, oxidative cross-coupling reaction of two unfunctionalized arenes (oxidative C–H/C–H cross-coupling) is a new and environmentally friendly method to directly access biaryls involving heteroaryls that constitute electronic materials and devices (Equa-tion 1).
