摘要

ORU? (2010) proposes a new method for interpretation of gravity gradient tensor (GGT) data. This method seems interesting from a theoretical point of view, although we have found some flaws in the equations he has derived. In this paper, we correct the introduced equations and describe some theoretical points, briefly. ORU? (2010) shows that depth to the source can be estimated based on the ratio between the scalar invariants I_1 and I_2 introduced by PEDERSEN and RASMUSSEN (1990) at the maximum of the vertical component of the gravity vector, gz for simple 2D and 3D sources.
