Clausen et al. (2012a) presented evidence for the absence of Neogene tectonic inversion in the Danish Central Graben and eastwards. Rasmussen (2013–in this volume) questions our analysis and conclusions and the objective of the following is to answer and discuss the questions put forward by Rasmussen (2013–in this volume).
