Asahi Kasei’s US subsidiary acquires purging compounds manufacturer Novachem

Asahi Kasei says that its subsidiary Sun Plastech (Parsippany, NJ)—manufacturer of the purging compound Asaclean—has signed an agreement to purchase the assets of Novachem (Bridgeport, CT), a manufacturer of purging compounds. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Novachem, which was established in 1989, has been manufacturing and distributing the SuperNova and Novapurge lines of chemical purging compounds and the InstaPurge line of mechanical purges.
