Malaysian oleochemicals group acquires Cremer Oleo's business in Germany

IOI Corp. (Kuala Lumpur), the Malaysian plantation group, is acquiring Cremer Oleo GmbH (Hamburg), the oleochemicals business of the privately-owned Cremer group, for ?89.4 million ($100.1 million), IOI said on Thursday. The oleochemicals production facilities, which will help expand IOI’s value chain, are at Witten and Zur Hafenspitze, Germany. The production plant at Witten offers a broad spectrum of mostly branded oleochemical specialty products for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and performance chemicals markets worldwide.
