Evonik Industries, at a press conference at Wesseling, Germany on Thursday, announced that it plans to invest over ?4 billion ($4.4 billion) in research and development over the next decade. “Our intention is to turn Evonik into one of the world's most innovative companies,” says Klaus Engel, chairman of the executive board of Evonik.
