US specialty chemicals down 1.0% YOYyoy in September

The US specialty chemicals market contracted 1.0% year-on-year (YOY) in September on a three-month moving average (3MMA), according to the latest issue of ACC's specialty market volume report. The decrease follows a fall of 0.7% YOY in August, and the sector has declined by 3.0% compared with the December 2014 peak, ACC says. Of the 28 sectors ACC tracks, 18 grew in September and 10 shrank compared with 20 sectors increasing in August and 21 in July.
