Pequiven, Braskem, Odebrecht to build ammonia production, urea granulation plant in Venezuela

Petroquimica de Venezuela (Pequiven), Braskem, and construction company Norberto Odebrecht (Salvador, Brazil) will build an ammonia and granulated urea plant at Pequiven's Jose Antonio Anzoategui, Venezuela manufacturing complex, Pequiven announced. The project, named Fertisur, will require an investment of more than $1.4 billion, Pequiven says. "Construction will begin in 2015 and completion is expected for the end of 2018," says Saul Ameliach, president of Pequiven who signed the agreement on behalf of his company.
