Metallurgical coal exporting industry in Australia has entered crucial stages. Owing to sharp drop in the export market for metallurgical coal, the respective coal mines' profitability has been rapidly aggravated. As previously reported, the price negotiation on hard coking coal for blast furnace for the period from July to September of 2013 has lately come to an agreement, and the new price of high-grade hard coking coal of QLD origin has been fixed at US$142 - US$145 FOBT, which represents a decrease of US$27 (15.7% - 16.0%) versus the prior period.
