5 Coastal Tankers Capable Of Carrying 5,000 KL Of Fuel/Crude Oils Completed After May

Five coastal tankers with respective capacity of 5,000 KL, which are mainly engaged in domestic transportation, have been completed one after another since this May. Two ships owned by JX Nippon Oil and Energy Corporation will be built by the end of this year. Accordingly, total seven new ships, which have capacity to carry 5,000 KL of black oil respectively, are expected to be placed into service this year. All seven vessels were ordered during May-July 2011 right after the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred and five of which were recently completed.
