Russian Yamal LNG Construction Hits Halfway Point

Yamal LNG, a liquefied natural gas project located deep in the Russian Arctic, hit a milestone, reaching theconstruction halfway point. The project involves a gas liquefying plant with capacity to produce 16.5 million tons per yearof LNG with construction cost of US$27 billion. The construction of the plant is underway so that it could go on stream in2017.
