New Panama Canal to Be Put into Commercial Operation on Jun 26th

The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) announced on March 23rd (local time in Panama) that it would inauguratecommercial operation on June 26th, 2016 at the new Panama Canal after the expansion project is completed. The expansionprogram has already been 97% complete. Final testing will be conducted in the following weeks so that the canalcould be officially opened.
