Ethylene Price in Asia Hovering High

The price for ethylene in Asia has been hovering high due to the lower supply from the maintenance stops at naphtha cracker and the increase in demand for production of derivatives. The price (CFR northeast Asia) went over US$1,500/tonne early July, continuing the upward trend to reach US$1,570/tonne early August. Despite the market adjustment to correct the sharp rise, the current price is keeping over US$1,500/tonne.
