Chugoku Electric Power Acquires 10% Interest in Boggabri Coal Mine

On August 18, The Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc. announced that it acquired a 10% interest in Boggabri coal mine, an existing coal mine in the State of NSW, Australia from Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. and also concluded a long-term purchase contract for thermal coal (Boggabri coal mine) produced at this coal mine. This is the first time for Chugoku Electric Power to acquire coal assets in the overseas country.
