In the acceptance of February shipment, of which Saudi Aramco notified the wholesales of LPG, prohibition of plus tolerance of butane was stipulated. On the other hand, plus tolerance of propane, which was prohibited in January shipment, was mentioned as accepted. The major factor for Aramco's LPG export volume to decrease from 2010 lies in the increase of LPG which is consumed as a feedstock in Saudi's domestic petrochemical projects. Out of LPG, mainly propane is used for the projects. It is only Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company that consumes butane in the petrochemical projects.
