Continental Coal Decided To Develop Penumbra Concession--Starting coal production in 4th quarter 2011-

On 20th December Continental Coal Ltd. of Australia decided to develop new thermal coal concession in South Africa, Penumbra underground concession. Penumbra concession is undeveloped underground concession in the Ermelo Coalfield in Mpumalanga Province where production of thermal coal for export is envisaged. In February 2011, Continental starts development of the concession for coal production at the concession starting in the fourth quarter 2011 (October-December). Full scale operation is to be launched in the third quarter 2012 (July-September) and 500,000 MT per year of thermal coal for export are to be produced.
