LNG Imports via FSRUs to Constitute 16.6% of Total in 2020

LNG imports through floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) terminals are expected to account for16.6% of the total imports via operational LNG regasification terminals in the world in 2020. Since FSRU terminals canstart up faster with lower costs than onshore terminals, nations, which try to newly import LNG, will accelerate introductionof FSRU terminals. The share in 2020 will increase to twice as much as the share in 2010, which was 8.6% of thetotal.
